GWADAR: Baloch armed groups have warned a private school in Gwadar to stop providing co-education to the students as they viewed it contradictory with the Islamic and Baloch traditions.
A Hub-based popular Baloch newspaper quoted on Wednesday the administration of the local private school in Gwadar saying that it had received a joint notice issued by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) seeking an end to co-education inside the private schools. The warning served to the school’s management has called for an immediate end to co-education. In case of defiance, the notice added, the school administration should prepare to face the “consequences.”
The authenticity of this notice could not be verified through any source.
Baloch armed groups have been dismantling the networks of drug mafia in the past recent past in Mekran region and have vowed to clean the society from all forms of drugs. It was the first time that they came up with such a warning against co-education in the private schools in Baloch-populated areas.
what a shame. now they want to stop education.
why you publish such a news which is not even verified. you should be ashamed of calling yourself a Baloch journalist. BLA, BLF will never threat any school niether they are taliban, nor they are islamist extremist. this news is from Paki ISI or of her agents trying to link Baloch struggle with talibinsation. Being a journalist and publishing false information is a shamefull act.
dear saeed they are not stoping balochs to be educated they are stoping co-education.
The so called statement can’t be from BLA or BLF. It is Jama’at Islami elements who issued falsed statements in the name of these organisations. Some of these anti-baloch elements have made their den inside the Baloch nationalist groups from where they are advancing their agendas.
Baloch women and men are expected to fight for the liberation of Balochistan shoulder to shoulder at the time of need, let alone educating themselves under the same roof.
Balochistan has limited teachers and resources the fulfil the need of separate education for boys and girls. Under the circustances co-education is necessary.
I am sure we see a statement from the both organisations denying the threat. Similar statements have been issued previously, but then armed groups have denied any link those.

but as Ali said I dont think BLA , BLF or any Baloch Patriot would issue this kind of warning, it sounds like another unsuccessful propaganda from enemies of Baloch Nation ie offcourse Pok Army and its terrorist out fit agency ISI.
though i am not sure that the warning letter to the private schools was sent by BLA or BLF, they must come forward and deny it. if they dont do that it would mean that they have actually done that, and in that case let me tell them who are they to decide for all the baloches. they are fighting, right, they are giving sacrifices, right, but it doesn’t give them th ecomplete authority to decide the fate of the entire nation. are they talibans? do they want the women as their slaves, as something lesser. for god sake BLA BLF! you don’t have the authority to think that. by doing that you will lose the suport of the people.
and this also makes me think that (of course if the warning was issued by BLF, BLA) are these organistaions have a higher body who THINKS, and takes decison, or are they a bunch of some radical and reactive people, and every other group of foot soldiers act upon their own wil????

I have asked many friends in Balochistan about this news Item on Daily Intekhab. Nobody has confirm it yet. I request to Malik Siraj at least provide a screen shot or cutting of this news from daily Intekhab. As for Intekhab it was never a trust worthy newspaper for Baloch cause. Anwar Sajidi’s 70s record are also not clean. He has always been involved in propaganda against Baloch freedom struggle.
Intekhab has also published an unverified news regarding Mr Kachkol Baloch that he has arrived Europe for political asylum. Mr Kachkol denies this news.
I would never in a billion year believe in such propaganda news against Baloch fighters. Those currently engaged in freedom struggle are mostly well-educated people from all walks of life e.g. Lawyers, doctors, and all. They are sacrificing their lives so that their next generations can have a better life – How can they say anything like this??? Use common sense as well please!
I think Malik Siraj as responsible journalist or the Balochhal team as a responsible newspaper should have contacted other parties before publishing any news. for example in case of Kachkol and BLF & BLA they should have asked for their views as well before publishing a controversial news. If we the Baloch media online/print carry on publishing what Pakistani media says then there is no difference between them and us. If we believe we’re the Baloch prospects then we should present the other side of the picture too, we should not only blindly trust what the Pakistani media says.
Completely agree with brother Faiz Baloch’s comments. Why the freedom fighters stop Baloch sisters from getting education, who are also playing a significant role in Baloch freedom movement. They are staging protest demos, shoulder to shoulder with Baloch brothers holding hanger strike camps, even they have been baton charged by Frontier Corps during taking out protest rally. I never listened from freedom fighters stopping Baloch sisters from staging protest demo on streets. There are also thousands of Baloch sisters who are working in the agricultural fields for earning their livelihood but fighters never threatened them of doing so.
once or twice the freedom fighters threatened some schools for teaching just bogus syllabus to children particularly about Pak-studies. It is obvious to every one, there is no material in schoolbooks about Baloch Hero, history and culture, so what the innocent Baloch children will learn about their own history and culture from such syllabus.
Now let’s wait and see, whether freedom fighters deny this news item published in Intekab and reproduced by Balcoh Hal or accept responsibility. If they accept it I hope they will give a solid justification for it.

I have read this news almost ten times. as you mentioned it was published with a reference. but i dont see any reference in your article. all i see is Baloch Hal news. you did not even include where you sourced it from.
