IJT Protests in Quetta Against Devis’ Release
QUETTA: Activists of Islami Jamiat Tulba (IJT) held a protest demonstration here on Wednesday against release of Raymond Davis, an alleged C.I.A contractor accused of murdering two suspected Pakistani intelligence personnel.
The demonstration was organized in front of Quetta Press Club.
JI leader Maulana Abdul Kabir Shahkir and Nazim IJT Balochistan Noor Uddin led the demonstration.
The protesting students were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the US and Raymond Davis.
Addressing the gathering, the IJT leaders condemned the incident in which Raymond Davis killed two Pakistani nationals while third person was crushed to death by a vehicle of US consulate.
They said that people had rendered scarifies for the restoration of judiciary but its decision had disappointed people.
They also criticised government, saying it had badly failed to ensure security of people and had put the country at stake.
