Senator Bizenjo Urges Baloch Armed Groups to Review Their Strategies
TURBAT: The Central Vice President of the National Party Senator Hasil Khan Bizenjo has urged Baloch armed groups to respect his party’s way of peaceful democratic struggle for the attainment of the Baloch rights through reviewing their own approach toward the politics of the province.
The National Party, he announced, would actively participate in the upcoming general elections as it is not the Party’s compulsion but the need of the time to end the conflict in Balochistan and bring back all the disappeared people.
The Baloch senator was speaking to a group of journalists in Turbat.
He said the situation in Balochistan was worse in 2008 but the elections still took place and he sees no reason why the polls should be cancelled this year. “The armed groups were much stronger in 2008 but the government successfully held the elections,” he said.
Mr. Bizenjo urged the Baloch armed groups to review their strategy as he argued that some of their actions had alienated the Baloch population.
“Balochistan belongs to all of us and everyone should have the freedom of choice to follow a certain pattern of politics and political struggle,” he remarked.
